Health Education Video Series

Overview

At the UCSF Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health, I led the development of a health education video series designed to improve contraceptive knowledge among adolescents and young adults.

The project aimed to provide clear, engaging educational content addressing common questions about birth control and reproductive health.

Challenge

Young people often receive incomplete or inaccurate information about contraception. Educational resources needed to be medically accurate while also engaging and relatable for adolescent audiences.

The project required collaboration between clinicians, educators, researchers, and video production teams to develop content that balanced scientific accuracy with effective storytelling.

Approach

I coordinated a multidisciplinary team to develop educational scripts grounded in evidence-based reproductive health information.

Working with video production partners, I oversaw filming, editing, and distribution of the video series.

The project also involved recruiting participants, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring that the final content aligned with educational and clinical goals.

My Role

  • Led project planning and development.
  • Managed video production teams and subcontractors.
  • Coordinated clinicians and content contributors.
  • Oversaw dissemination to health clinics and partner organizations.

Outcome

The video series was distributed through healthcare providers, educational organizations, and digital platforms, helping expand access to contraceptive education resources for young audiences.

The project was later presented at national public health conferences as an example of innovative health education programming.
